Catholic Church to celebrate World Grandparents’ Day - Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne

The Mass of the Holy Spirit will be celebrated for the third time in 2023 on Sunday 23 July – the Sunday closest to the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, Grandparents of Jesus.

The theme chosen by Pope Francis for this year’s celebration is: “His mercy is from age to age” (Luke 1:50).

 

Pope Francis has issued a degree, the indulgence is subject to the usual conditions of sacramental Confession, reception of the Eucharist, and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, our commitment to be service to our brothers and sister may deepen our faith and strengthen with the following activities:

• Sacrament of Reconciliation
• Praying Holy rosary at 6:00 PM via Batang DICES Facebook page
• Post a picture with Grandparents and post it on social media with the hashtags
• #ElderlyAndGrandparents and #BatangDICESWorldGrandparentsDay2023
