DGA conducts annual family day celebration, ‘Color Fun Run’

Last December 16, 2022, De Guia Academy of Magallanes, Inc. (DGA) continued its tradition of holding an annual family gathering for all De Guians. The celebration was spearheaded by school administrators, led by Mr. Armando Gallardo, school principal, with the help of all class advisers, teachers, and staff.

The activity began with the celebration of the Holy Mass, the first Misa de Gallo, at 5:00 AM, presided over by school chaplain Rev. Fr. Efren Araracap, Jr. After the Eucharist, DGA students, parents, teachers, and staff assembled themselves at the CALABARZON Road for the three-kilometer “Color Fun Run” from the school to the town proper and back.

Upon returning to the school, participants had breakfast, which was prepared by school staff. After their meal, participants joined the communal “zumba” dance, which was followed by games and other activities such as BINGO and raffles. The attending students and parents said that they really enjoyed the simple prizes and surprises during the day.
