DGA students celebrate Holy Mass, wear saint and angel costumes for annual Parade of Saints
November 7, 2022
Last November 7, 2022, De Guia Academy of Magallanes, Inc. (DGA) held its annual Parade of Saints. The activity was initiated by the school’s Christian Values Integration Office (CVIO), headed by coordinator Mr. Mark Joseph Mejia, with the help of Christian Living Education (CLE) teachers from all levels.
The celebration began with the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Efren Araracap, Jr., school chaplain and parish priest of the Nuestra Señora De Guia Parish in Magallanes, Cavite. After the Holy Mass, the Parade of Saints commenced, during which DGA attendees solemnly walked from the school to Poblacion Road and then back again to the school.
During the parade, DGA students from the intermediate to senior high school levels wore costumes in honor of their assigned saints, while students from the primary level wore angel costumes.
The institution believed that this tradition was established to bring back the sacredness of All Saints Day and to give back the glory to God.
